The story behind this piece

The Tetouan rug is inspired by Arab-Andalusian patios and the play of shadows on terracotta floors. Its stripes handwoven in a small Portuguese workshop combine tradition and modernity in a contemporary interpretation of Mediterranean weaving.

The cotton fibres are recovered from textile factories in northern Portugal, sorted and woven by hand on traditional wooden looms — without water or electricity. Machine washable. Available from 60x100 to 200x300 cm. Each piece is unique.
